AKIS has launched two new Health and Safety Applications for the smartphone and tablet. Both applications hold the AKIS vision in mind. They are tools used to improve reporting, quickly identify issues or events and prompt the user to gather the right data in an easy and user friendly format.

Accident Investigation Helper

The Accident Investigation Helper guides the user through multiple steps of conducting an accident investigation. The application prompts the user to gather essential data, ask the right questions, take statements from the injured worker as well as withnesses, write notes regarding the scene of the accident, take visual recordings of the area, and convert the report to a pdf. file. Additional functions such as e-signature and audio recordings are also available within the application.

The Accident Investigation Helper's purpose is to provide guidance in a difficult and stressful scenario that enables the user to capture all necessary information and identify the root cause of the accident.


iDentify Hazardous Conditions Helper

How does an organization reduce or eliminate accidents from occurring? By identifying hazards and eliminating them before an accident can occur. iDentify is an app that does just that. Frontline workers are best equipped to identify issues since they spend the majority of their time on the shop floor. During numerous audits, the statement "We knew someone would get hurt..." was a common theme in many workplaces. Workers identified possible hazards, but in many cases would not report or communicate issues to managment until an accident already occurred. AKIS developed iDentify with the frontline worker as its core. The application allows workers the ability to identify hazards in a quick, simple and reliable manner. Once the issue has been recorded it can easily be
transmitted to managment for review.
